BACKGROUND & INTRODUCTION OF THE
ORGANIZATION:
Sustainable Development Society (SDS) is a
non-government, non-partisan and non-ethnic
organization. SDS registered under the
Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 in
2008. SDS is actively involved in the
socio-economic uplift of the inhabitants of
the whole province. SDS intends to support
well being of the people of KPK through
community participation in development
process to bring in a prosperous and
harmonious social order.
Before this Sustainable Development Society
worked as Shangla Development Society (SDS)
which was established in 1997.
In 2008 a board meeting was conducted in
which it was decided to change the name of
the organization as Shangla Development
Society was an area specific name and SDS
area of work is extended to other parts of
the province.

VISION:
SDS endeavors to promote equitable values
for societal transformation.

MISSION STATEMENT:
SDS deals with participatory approach in
consultative manner, while bridging the gaps
for optimal uses of resources.

OBJECTIVES:
To
promote sustainable development of KPK.
To promote honorable integration of the
different segments of society.
To narrow gender gaps in health, education
and economic participation.
To improve natural and human resource
management.

Sustainable Development Society is a right based
organization which believes in participatory approach. I am honoured to lead the organization which fosters a unique
spirit of team work, innovation , passion and a shared
vision to serve humanity and work for the empowerment of the marginalized segments of the
society irrespective of gender race, colour, religion and
ethnicity.
